Clinical Therapist

The Housing Supportive Services Program (HSSP) is a specialized program that provides comprehensive and intensive field-based community mental health services. As a Clinician, you will conduct psychotherapy with adult members who have severe and persistent mental illness, engaging them and coordinating mental health and recovery services to ensure housing stability and community integration.
Key Responsibilities- Provide mental health and recovery support services to individual members
- Conduct individual, family, and group psychotherapy
- Develop effective relationships with members, focusing on facilitating independence and improved physical and mental health
- Collaborate with members to develop their individual service plan and review/update it upon completion of goals
- Assist management and other Clinicians with program evaluation and modification for future improvements and growth
- Assist members with daily activities, socialization, health maintenance, sense of community, and progress in recovery
- Work cooperatively with the HSSP team, participating in weekly staff meetings, group clinical supervision, and trainings
- Develop and maintain a complete, accurate, and current member file with all funder-required documents
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited university
- Valid registration or licensure with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Current, valid California Driver's license with an acceptable driving record and reliable vehicle
- Able to transport members in your vehicle
- Outstanding clinical and strong team-building skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, and computer skills
The Clinician will work in a combination of field and office environments, regularly required to sit, stand, bend, and occasionally lift or carry up to 35 lbs. The position may require working in busy and loud environments, being exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise, and odor, and bending, stooping, twisting, and sitting throughout the day.
