Job Summary
Threshold Enterprises is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating various equipment and carrying out tasks in the manufacture of dietary supplements.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain equipment: Ensure that equipment is running efficiently while producing high-quality product in a safe, sanitary, and cost-effective manner that meets company and regulatory standards.
- Batch processing: Accurately weigh and mix batches of material, following Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to complete all documentation required for batch processing in a cGMP compliant manner.
- Quality control: Monitor product and process parameters throughout the process and perform in-process sampling and/or testing as required.
- Communication: Communicate manufacturing equipment and facilities problems to Manufacturing Leadership and assist with plant sanitation and good housekeeping as required.
- Teamwork: Work in a dynamic team environment and take direction from the Machine Operator 2 and Team Lead, as required.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent, preferred.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience working with equipment or in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent.
- Skills: Basic computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and basic understanding of Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Personal qualities: Self-motivated, ability to take initiative and use sound judgment in day-to-day decision making, punctual and reliable in work attendance, and ability to work in an environment with exposure to allergenic supplement powder and loud heavy equipment.
Working Conditions
- Work schedule: Able to work outside normal scheduled hours and overtime, as required.
- Physical demands: Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs. in a safe manner and stand for long periods of time.
