Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic professional to join our Operations 2nd Level Applications team. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with the design, optimization, implementation, and maintenance of highly available and scalable infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and our on-premise systems. These infrastructures are crucial to our operations, processing millions of transactions daily for esteemed clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture, implementation, and management of resilient and scalable infrastructure on AWS and GCP.
- Collaborate with internal teams to translate business needs into effective cloud-based operational frameworks.
- Design, implement, and enhance infrastructure components and services on GCP/AWS, focusing on compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Establish best practices for deploying and managing applications, databases, and resources on GCP/AWS.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of systems and applications to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Implement monitoring solutions to proactively identify and address performance gaps.
- Oversee weekly code deployments and automate CI/CD pipelines for streamlined operations.
- Evaluate infrastructure changes and assess potential impacts on the platform.
- Serve as a key contact and advocate for enterprise platform initiatives affecting the service line.
- Assist Customer Support with escalated merchant issues related to applications.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering knowledge sharing and professional growth.
Work Environment:
This is a hybrid role, allowing for a blend of remote and office work. Employees are expected to be in the office 2-3 days a week, as determined by leadership, with a general expectation of being present in the office 50% or more of the time based on business requirements.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- 10+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 7 years with an Advanced Degree, or 4 years with a PhD, or 13+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
- Master's in Computer Science or a related engineering field with 5+ years in a highly available Linux environment.
- Extensive experience in architecting and implementing operational infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform/Amazon Web Services.
- Strong expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) concepts and tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proven ability to design and optimize scalable cloud-based solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, databases, and security.
- Extensive scripting experience in Shell/Ruby/ReactJS/Python.
- Proficient in Swarm and Kubernetes architecture and networking.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, databases, and networking concepts.
- Experience with enterprise monitoring solutions.
- Strong work ethic and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Compensation:
The estimated salary range for this position is between $132,100.00 and $171,700.00, which may include potential sales incentive payments. Salary may vary based on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position may also be eligible for bonuses and equity.
