Job Description

As a Grading Superintendent with HEI Civil - Carolinas, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of construction grading projects on time and within budget. This role involves directly supervising and coordinating activities of construction grading work, overseeing the production and performance of multiple crews and foremen as they operate various types of power construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise, coordinate, or schedule the activities of construction grading crews to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Read specifications, such as blueprints, to determine construction requirements or plan procedures.
  • Inspect work progress, equipment, or construction sites to verify safety and ensure specifications are met.
  • Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of equipment using measuring and marking equipment.
  • Coordinate work activities with other construction project activities to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant supervisory experience in construction grading or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing construction grading projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and coordinate multiple crews and foremen.
  • Knowledge of construction equipment operation and maintenance, as well as safety protocols and regulations.
