Job Description

The Romanoff Group of Companies, a leading provider of electrical services, is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to join their team in the Charlotte, NC area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine the scope of work, locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.
  • Identify safety risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Assemble and install electrical equipment, including termination of wires and cables.
  • Test electrical components for continuity and proper voltage readings.
  • Inspect electrical equipment and components to identify hazards and ensure they are in good operational condition.
  • Setup and maintain temporary power systems and grounding systems for all equipment and structures.
  • Maintain knowledge of electrical theory, including ohms law, and proficiency in cable pulling methods.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and systems for electrical malfunctions.
  • Identify different types, gauges, and colors of cables and wires.
  • Follow instructions correctly and be reliable, accountable, and consistent in performing administrative processes.
  • Illustrate knowledge and experience of working with a lock out tag out system and express an excellent working knowledge of Residential Building Codes/Electrical Codes.
  • Have knowledge in boxing and pulling romex in compliance with local building codes.
  • Willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations and make it to work on time and work the designated schedule and any overtime as needed with the proper notification.
  • Communicate well and have professional interpersonal skills, able to train and coach coworkers, provide on-site direction and leadership to workers, and manage material, deadlines, and quality control of installations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years documented field work or completion of 4 year electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Excellent understanding of the electrical industry and experience finding and repairing faults in electrical systems.
  • Possess all Position Responsibilities as explained.
  • Meet all physical requirements, including working at heights in excess of 30 ft.
  • Have all required tools and reliable transportation.
  • Submit to criminal background check and pass drug screen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician.
  • Multi-family project experience.
  • OSHA 30 hour Training.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
  • Must be able to speak English and hear to communicate.
  • Must be able to use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools.
  • Must be able to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and occasionally work off of platforms/scaffolding, using the appropriate fall protection requirements.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, cold, and wind, while wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, gloves, and safety toe, construction-grade work boots.
