Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Drupal Front End Developer to join our dynamic team at Portland Webworks, where we deliver innovative custom Drupal websites and applications that prioritize accessibility, responsiveness, and visual appeal. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of Drupal site building and theme development, as well as expertise in implementing and customizing Drupal themes.

Responsibilities
  • Ongoing feature development and maintenance for public sector projects within an Agile framework
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback on pull requests regarding best practices and standards
  • Contribute to effort estimation and task decomposition for backlog items and client requests
  • Collaborate with designers to enhance accessibility, usability, and design vision adherence
  • Identify areas for improvement in technology and processes
  • Analyze application performance across various environments and design optimizations
  • Engage in Agile process and communicate effectively with peers, product owners, and clients
Requirements
  • In-depth understanding of Drupal CMS site building and theme development, actively contributing to the Drupal community
  • Proficiency in web accessibility standards and SEO optimization
  • Experience working with multiple languages and technology stacks
  • Prior experience participating in software development teams using Agile methodologies
  • Able to design and implement enterprise solutions spanning front-end, back-end, and database components
  • Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks and their application
  • Comfortable communicating technical concepts to clients as a consultant
  • Ability to balance effort, complexity, and business value while problem-solving
