Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at Portland Webworks. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our diverse client base.

As a successful candidate for this position, you will have a strong focus on business outcomes and be comfortable collaborating with team members through all stages of a project. You will also be able to reach across functional borders to get the job done.

Some of the key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Configuring software systems and setting up environments for deploying software systems
  • Implementing processes for automating build and deployment processes
  • Maintaining internal software, hardware, and networking systems
  • Supporting our Drupal and Java software development teams
  • Working on security compliance efforts

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong Linux administration skills
  • A solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, and HTTP(S)
  • A thorough understanding of security best practices
  • Experience with high availability hosting configurations
  • Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle
