Job Overview:

The Document Control Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our document control processes. This individual will be responsible for scanning records, verifying their accuracy, and preparing them for offsite storage. They will also manage document workflows, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scanning and Verification: Scan records and verify the accuracy and completeness of scanned documents.
  • Archiving and Storage: Prepare records for offsite storage, including creating accurate document indexes and maintaining record integrity.
  • Document Workflow Management: Process document workflows, ensuring that priority documents are promptly handled and comply with company templates.
  • General Support: Assist with document format issues and perform general word processing tasks.
  • Database and Records Maintenance: Maintain accurate and complete database entries and control binders. Perform audits and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Compliance and Safety: Follow company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues, stay updated on regulatory compliance, and adhere to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EH&S) policies.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties and assignments as required by management.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of document control experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe; strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of Document Control standards, Quality Systems, GMP regulations, and principles.
  • Communication: Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working effectively within teams and under changing priorities.
