Position Overview
The Lead Financial Analyst will play a crucial role within the accounting department, reporting directly to the VP of Accounting. This position entails managing month-end closing activities, preparing journal entries, conducting reconciliations, and performing variance analyses.
Moreover, you will support revenue reconciliation for ParentSquare partnership initiatives, oversee Netsuite and its integration with Maxio, and assist with annual, quarterly, and monthly tax submissions.
Your proficiency in technical accounting research will be essential in collaborating with the VP of Accounting on the implementation of new accounting standards and refining closing processes and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and conduct variance analysis to ensure precise and timely financial reporting.
- Manage Netsuite and supervise its integration with Maxio, ensuring data accuracy and system efficiency.
- Assist in the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly tax submissions, collaborating closely with external tax consultants.
- Support revenue reconciliation for ParentSquare partnership initiatives.
- Conduct research on technical accounting matters, stay informed on new standards (GAAP), and work with the VP of Accounting on their implementation.
- Aid in enhancing month-end closing processes, accounting policies, and procedures to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA certification preferred, with public accounting experience highly regarded.
- Proficient in Excel/SQL; comfortable handling large datasets.
- Self-motivated individual with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to excel in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Experience in startups and/or familiarity with Netsuite and Maxio is a plus.
