Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile bank statements with the company's financial ledgers
  • Record, classify, and maintain financial data, including sales, invoices, payments, and charges
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoice processing while adhering to proper coding and cost center allocations
  • Support project teams with compliance, lean waivers, and other administrative duties related to accounts payable and receivable
  • Analyze employee spending
  • Oversee income and expense accounts, including job costing, general and administrative expenses, and all general ledger functions
  • Generate financial reports based on income and expenditure data
  • Monitor the financial health and cash flow of the organization
  • Track and manage recurring payroll, sales and use taxes, income taxes, and other financial obligations
  • Administer financial and accounting software systems
  • This position also entails handling the aforementioned tasks for the company's small real estate and engineering divisions, approximately two days per month.
  • Process weekly payroll
Qualifications:
  • An associate's degree is required; a bachelor's degree in accounting or a CPA certification is preferred
  • A minimum of two years of accounting experience, ideally within the construction sector
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and practices, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Proficient in spreadsheet applications
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Self-motivated individual with a knack for problem-solving and research
  • Familiarity with accounting software and databases (Currently Using Jonas Premier)
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 based on experience. Benefits include comprehensive health insurance, life insurance, an IRA with employer matching, and paid time off.
