In the role of Safety and Environmental Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to safety standards and fostering a secure workplace. As a pivotal figure in the organization, you will design and execute safety protocols and educate staff on best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulating, advancing, and executing Environmental Health and Safety strategies, initiatives, and guidelines.
- Conducting safety evaluations and assessments to guarantee compliance with industry regulations.
- Establishing and upholding safe operational practices, embedding health and safety into leadership and management processes.
- Distributing resources effectively while collaborating across departments to meet Environmental Health and Safety goals.
- Driving ongoing enhancements in employee safety and health through the establishment of a Comprehensive Management System.
General Duties
- Ensuring strict adherence to quality, occupational safety, and environmental standards.
- Executing directives from the quality/environmental management representative and the occupational safety advisor.
Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an EH&S manager within the electronics manufacturing sector.
- Expertise in Environmental Health & Safety, with a proven history of meeting operational objectives.
- Proficient understanding of Integrated Management Systems (IMS), particularly in leading ISO compliance for 14001, 45001, and integrating these standards into ISO 9001 & ISO 13485 management frameworks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safety regulations and industry benchmarks such as ISO, EHS, OSHA, and EPA.
- Strong emphasis on safety with exceptional skills in hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities, capable of working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated capability to manage teams, intricate processes, or multifaceted programs.
