Clinical Nurse Specialist

The Clinical Nurse Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to individuals and families. Utilizing the nursing process, this role aims to help patients achieve, maintain, and restore optimal health.
Key Responsibilities
- Employs the nursing process to provide compassionate and effective nursing care.
- Exhibits proficiency in technical skills that ensure safe practices and favorable patient outcomes.
- Facilitates clear communication and teamwork to enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations.
- Engages in professional development and contributes to the advancement of nursing practices.
- Demonstrates leadership that positively impacts clinical and operational results.
General Requirements
- Performs additional duties as necessary.
- Adheres to all organizational policies and standards.
- For specific responsibilities, refer to departmental documentation provided during orientation.
- Ensures compliance with regulations for maintaining Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients.
Education
- Diploma in Nursing from an accredited program required, or
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or
- Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong understanding of nursing processes and practices.
- Ability to utilize various technical equipment to meet patient needs and deliver prescribed therapies.
- 1 year of RN experience preferred.
- $8000 Sign-On Bonus available for external candidates with 1 year of RN experience.
Licenses and Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio required, and
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained during orientation.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support may be required based on clinical area standards.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing and walking.
- Occasional sitting.
- Regular lifting and carrying of up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent pushing and pulling of up to 50 lbs.
- Occasional climbing and balancing.
- Regular stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
- Constantly engaging in talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
- Maintaining eye/hand/foot coordination.
