POSITION TITLE: Patient Mobility Specialist

Location: Portage Medical Center

Portage Medical Center is in search of a Patient Mobility Specialist to support healthcare teams in facilitating patient movement and delivering essential care. This position will require effective collaboration with various departments and healthcare professionals to promote patient health and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the movement of patients
  • Delivering essential patient care
  • Working alongside Nursing, Physical and Occupational Therapy, and other relevant departments as necessary

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to comprehend verbal and written directives
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Effective time management and interpersonal communication skills
  • Physically and mentally capable of providing patient support and aiding in mobility

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, with a preference for candidates with vocational training as a nursing assistant

Experience: Prior experience as a nursing assistant or in a related role within a healthcare environment is preferred

Certifications: State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification is preferred
