Job Summary

As a Patient Transporter at Crothall Healthcare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items to their destinations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport patients safely and efficiently, securing IVs, drainage tubes, and other medical equipment as needed.
  • Utilize wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to facilitate patient transportation.
  • Demonstrate competency in transporting patients of all ages and medical conditions.
  • Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Provide a comfortable and respectful environment for patients, offering blankets and checking modesty as needed.
  • Alert nursing staff immediately to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.
  • Maintain equipment and report any issues for repair.
  • Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO requirements.
  • Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient rights policies.
