- Utilize wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to facilitate patient transportation.
- Demonstrate competency in transporting patients of all ages and medical conditions.
- Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide a comfortable and respectful environment for patients, offering blankets and checking modesty as needed.
- Alert nursing staff immediately to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.
- Maintain equipment and report any issues for repair.
- Comply with regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO requirements.
- Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient rights policies.
