Role Overview

In this position, you will act as a Software Engineer, playing a pivotal role on a Scrum team within the Digital Platforms Technology sector. You will collaborate closely with the Squad Lead, Scrum Master, Systems Analyst, Quality Assurance, Architects, Tech Lead, and fellow Developers to design, build, test, and deliver the features that enhance Fidelity's digital offerings.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience working collaboratively in a team setting to develop, deploy, and maintain essential applications and features.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software development practices.
  • Extensive ability to break down complex business challenges into innovative, efficient, and scalable solutions.
  • Expertise in client-side technologies, including Angular 8+, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, NPM, HTML/CSS, and RxJS.
  • Familiarity with client-side unit testing frameworks and runners such as Jest, Jasmine, and Karma.
  • Experience with server-side technologies is advantageous, including Java EE, Apache Tomcat, Spring MVC/Spring Boot, Logback, SLF4j, and Maven.
  • Knowledge of NX is a plus.
  • Commitment to best practices regarding object-oriented design, coding standards, RESTful service integration, and secure application development.
  • Understanding of DevOps principles related to source control management, continuous integration, monitoring, and deployment.
  • Familiarity with enterprise application architecture patterns and orchestration frameworks like Apache Camel.
  • Experience with Docker containerization and AWS cloud deployment and management.
  • AWS certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of the W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and their application.
