Job Summary

The Prep Cook is responsible for assisting in the preparation of all types of food items for the restaurant outlets at BlueWater Casino & Resort. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare high-quality food items using standardized recipes and methods of preparation.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Adapt to changes in menu preparation and production methods.
  • Maintain kitchen safety and sanitation standards.
  • Replenish prep line food items as needed.
  • Practice proper personal sanitary procedures.
  • Respond to guest preferences and concerns.
  • Ensure proper food storage and serving temperatures.
  • Taste check prepared food items for quality and food safety.
Requirements
  • Professional training through a culinary education or experience in a fast-paced high-volume restaurant or catering facility.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • C.R.I.T Community Environmental Health Food Handlers Card and other required compliance trainings.
  • Valid gaming license from the CRIT Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Ability to adhere to BlueWater Resort & Casino and CDC guidelines for PPE and COVID-19 protocols.
Work Environment

This position works indoors in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The noise level can be moderate to loud at times. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke.
