Job Summary:

Spalding Consulting, Inc. is seeking a skilled software developer to join our team. As a mid-level software engineer, you will work on modernizing a complex large-scale web application and its related Oracle database objects using C# and.NET Core framework, containerization, and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on an Agile team to modernize a complex large-scale web application and its related Oracle database objects.
  • Reverse engineer Oracle database procedures and triggers.
  • Convert requirements into epics, user stories, or features.
  • Analyze and implement user needs and software requirements.
  • Provide maintenance support and troubleshooting to the legacy application.

Requirements:

  • Web-based, full stack software development experience, specifically with C#/.NET framework required.
  • Demonstrated Oracle and/or SQL Server database experience/knowledge required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with transactional application development highly desired.
  • Experience with nHibernate and/or MVC highly desired.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies preferred.
  • Experience with jQuery and/or Telerik preferred.
  • Experience with Git a plus.
  • Experience modernizing large scale applications a plus.
  • DOD/DON applications development experience a huge plus.

Security Clearance:

Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc.

Education:

BS/BA degree and 3 years related experience OR AA/AS degree and 7 years related experience OR HS and 9 years related experience.

COVID-19 Procedures:

On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received.
