Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and test software components for adherence to design requirements and document test results.
  • Utilize software development and design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
  • Provide specific input to the software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis and synthesis.
  • Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
  • Debug existing software and correct defects.
  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.
  • Develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.
  • Make recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of zero or more years' experience with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles in the design, development, integration, test, and deployment of hardware and software systems.
  • Proposed skill mix in at least three of the following areas:
    • Ship and Aviation
    • Unmanned Systems
    • Critical UAS technologies such as electrical, software, navigation, and control, cyber, ISR, and Electronic Warfare, and sensor systems
    • Acquisition
    • Test and Evaluation
    • Sustainment Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Top Secret clearance preferred.
  • BS/MS
  • Five (5+) or more years' experience in system design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of systems.
  • C/C++, and Java.
  • Experience in software development management roles.

Education and Certifications:

  • DoD 8140 compliant if required by tasking.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have a current/active Secret clearance, and must be willing and able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
