Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure appropriate approvals and documentation are in place prior to processing orders
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies
  • Collaborate with senior specialists and managers to identify areas of price and cost improvement
  • Maintain vendor price list data files and systems
  • Review warehouse inventory reports and customer demand to forecast optimal production
  • Analyze usage trends to identify opportunities to improve purchasing quantities
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or 1-2 years of relevant work experience
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Experience in purchase order management or related administrative roles
  • Prior work experience using procurement systems, ERP software, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Technical skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, conditional formatting, and complex formula creation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Additional education in business administration or supply chain management
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles, inventory management, and transportation logistics
  • Familiarity with purchase order management systems
  • Prior experience with managing item pricing
  • Knowledge of Sage 100 ERP system
