Veterinary Student Externship Opportunity

We are seeking 1st through 4th year veterinary students to join our team at Lefferts Animal Hospital. As a veterinary student extern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a progressive, full-service general practice. Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including digital full-body and dental radiology, ultrasonography, and a surgical CO2 laser.
Our experienced veterinarians and staff are committed to providing exceptional patient care and are dedicated to mentoring and guiding our externs. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients, including companion animals, exotics, reptiles, and avian species.
We offer flexible scheduling, paid externship hours, and a future employment opportunity preference. Our externs also have access to a DVM mentor network and 1:1 mentorship and guidance.
To be eligible, you must be an active veterinary student from an AVMA-accredited institution. We are a drug-free, smoke-free, equal opportunity employer and are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership and preventative health care.
