Electrical Engineer II Job Description

Blackrock Neurotech is a pioneering company in the field of neuroscience research and technology. We are seeking an Electrical Engineer II to join our team and contribute to our mission of improving human lives.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer II will be responsible for developing prototype electronic designs for R&D, supporting manufacturing with design of products, test equipment, and providing troubleshooting. They will also support the development of the quality control system and complete projects following our design control process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing new products from concept through released product stages
  • Designing and testing mixed-signal PCBs with wireless communication
  • Coordinating efforts between the company and senior R&D staff
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience as an industry electrical engineer
  • Proficient with electronic testing equipment
  • Analog/digital electronic PCB design
  • Experience with FPGA design using Verilog / System Verilog
  • Familiarity with multiple communication protocols such as SPI/I2C/PCI-e
  • Experience with microcontroller design using C/C++

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an FDA-regulated environment
  • Experience designing medical devices for IEC Electrical Safety Standards
  • Experience with PCB CAD/CAE software
