Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Prepare work areas for concrete placement, which includes the final excavation of soil and rock, as well as fine grading for floor slabs. This task requires prolonged shoveling.
- Assist in the assembly of concrete forms, which involves lifting prefabricated metal panels and aiding in their positioning.
- Manage the concrete bucket suspended from a crane, facilitating the transfer of concrete from trucks to designated areas. After pouring, laborers will spread the concrete evenly across slabs.
- Once the concrete has set, assist in removing the forms and transporting them for storage.
- Support concrete finishers by moving equipment such as power trowels and power screeds to achieve a smooth surface finish.
- Aid block masons in their tasks by handling and transporting materials like cement, lime, sand, and grout, including stocking blocks and bricks.
- Assist carpenters with the handling and installation of door frames, which includes transporting frames from storage to work sites and organizing them as needed.
- Load and unload building materials, machinery, and tools, ensuring proper distribution to project locations according to plans and specifications. Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Foster a safe working environment by identifying job site hazards and ensuring proper security of materials at the end of each workday.
Job Type: Contract
Compensation: $20 to $22 per hour, based on experience
Licenses/Certifications: Required
