Position Overview
We are seeking a Vice President of Litigation Oversight to enhance our Glatfelter Claims Management (GCM) division. This pivotal role entails the assessment and resolution of high-stakes, intricate commercial liability claims through effective litigation oversight.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage indemnity and expense allocations for complex claims.
- Formulate and execute litigation and settlement strategies.
- Provide expert guidance on both pre-litigation and litigated cases.
- Oversee a network of independent legal counsel for claims management.
- Maintain and enhance attorney/partner relationships.
- Contribute to the development of training programs for Line of Business Leaders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience; JD is preferred.
- A minimum of five years' experience in managing high exposure commercial liability claims.
- In-depth knowledge of litigation management and complex insurance coverage.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities.
