Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Inpatient Hospice Unit at Hock Family Pavilion. As a Hospice Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care to individuals at the most vulnerable stage of their lives. Your expertise and compassion will help patients and their families navigate the complexities of end-of-life care, ensuring a peaceful and dignified experience.
Responsibilities- Provide and supervise direct and indirect total nursing care responsibilities for patients in the Inpatient Hospice Unit.
- Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients and their families.
- Participate in educational activities, departmental committees, and research projects to advance the field of hospice care and improve patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all rules and regulations of local, state, and federal agencies, as well as accrediting bodies, to ensure compliance and quality care.
- Current registration with the North Carolina State Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse or compact RN licensure in a participating state.
- BLS (or higher) certification required.
- Professional specialty certification (preferred).
- Graduation from an accredited Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher), Associate's Degree in Nursing, or Nursing Diploma program.
