Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Patient Care Technician, you will assist residents under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring and documenting vital signs.
  • Measuring and recording height, weight, and fluid intake/output.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
  • Assisting residents with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Supporting residents during meals and ensuring proper hydration.
  • Observing and reporting any changes in residents' skin conditions to the licensed nurse; providing necessary skin care.
  • Addressing residents' mental health and social service needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certification as a Patient Care Technician
