Key Responsibilities
In your role as a Patient Care Technician, you will assist residents under the guidance of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and documenting vital signs.
- Measuring and recording height, weight, and fluid intake/output.
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for residents.
- Assisting residents with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and toileting.
- Supporting residents during meals and ensuring proper hydration.
- Observing and reporting any changes in residents' skin conditions to the licensed nurse; providing necessary skin care.
- Addressing residents' mental health and social service needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Certification as a Patient Care Technician
