Job Title: Environmental Policy Counsel

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced environmental attorney to join our team as an Environmental Policy Counsel. The successful candidate will have a strong background in federal and state regulatory and legislative processes, with a focus on chemicals management and air quality issues.

About the Role:

The Environmental Policy Counsel will be responsible for managing ACA-led industry committees and working with industry professionals to develop advocacy strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of laws and regulations relevant to chemicals management and air quality, as well as experience with regulatory and/or policy advocacy at the local, state or federal level.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage ACA-led industry committees and develop advocacy strategies
  • Work with industry professionals to develop and implement advocacy plans
  • Provide regulatory and policy analysis and advice to the team
  • Communicate with stakeholders and agencies on behalf of the industry
  • Develop and implement advocacy strategies for potential Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) or state chemicals management issues as well as air quality issues

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years' experience as an environmental attorney
  • Admitted to the practice of law in at least one jurisdiction
  • Experience with regulatory and/or policy advocacy at the local, state or federal level
  • Demonstrated ability to draft well-organized, meaningful analyses of laws and regulations as well as comment letters and policy statements
  • Strong public speaking skills and ability to testify before regulatory agencies or legislative bodies

What We Offer:

ACA offers a competitive salary range of $96,000 to $120,000, depending on experience.
