Position Summary:


The CTCT division (a collaboration between Trimble and Caterpillar) is dedicated to revolutionizing how heavy equipment clients shape a better world by delivering the right products tailored for specific customers and segments at competitive prices; enhancing productivity through intuitive applications powered by our platform; and fostering innovation through our parent companies.

Our clientele includes operators and owners of earthmoving, paving, and compaction machinery across construction, mining, and landfill sectors.

Utilizing technologies such as GNSS, optical total stations, lasers, and sonics, we provide precise positioning on job sites, ensuring operators benefit from accurate horizontal and vertical guidance alongside comprehensive site awareness.

Data collected from machinery and transmitted via the internet facilitates informed site management decisions, optimizing outcomes across entire sites and fleets.

As a pivotal member of a proactive and accountable Product Team, you will hold genuine ownership of your product; developing sellable, installable, and supportable kits that enable CTCT applications to be implemented across various machinery types, ensuring they are 'Grade Ready' to enhance market penetration and revenue from system sales.

In your role as the Product Manager for the Installation Solutions team, you will be accountable for business viability and customer value, managing kits and installation components throughout the entire product lifecycle – from New Product Introduction (NPI) to Quality Assurance, Supply Continuity, Iteration, and Deprecation. Your contributions will be vital in enabling CTCT to achieve its objective of providing the best installation and commissioning experience for dealer technicians in the machine control sector, across a premium portfolio of tiered products that satisfy machine control clients.

Developing the Right Solutions:

Overseeing Customer Value and Business Viability Product RisksA significant shift in customer purchasing behavior towards selecting Trimble machine control by delivering sellable, installable, and supportable kits that prepare a diverse range of machinery types to be 'Trimble Ready', thereby enhancing market penetration and increasing system sales revenue.

Decisions regarding product direction are supported by business case analyses that balance product, usability, and engineering feasibility risks in collaboration with Design and Technical Leads. The Product Manager is recognized as an expert within the company regarding their product's target users/customers and its practical applications.

Facilitating Work Execution:
Providing essential context to the Product Team (conversations, market insights, priorities, problem statements, roadmaps, epics, user stories, backlogs, personas...)

The Product Team:
Comprehends the rationale behind initiativesUnderstands the Product Plan across the four commercial budget categories, revenue drivers, unplanned deal-driven factors, quality, and validationMaintains a prioritized backlog to execute the product planPossesses the context necessary to deliver product components that form the overall productMinimizes Product Waste The Product Manager serves as a resource for the team to address inquiries, clarify objectives, and empower the team to manage details effectively.
