Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Order and maintain inventory in the meat department, utilizing inventory control procedures to ensure product freshness and quality.
- Team Leadership: Manage a team of associates to complete all stocking, production, and additional tasks to ensure product quality, production planning, accuracy, and date-sensitive rotation.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain familiarity with all products carried in the meat department as well as throughout the store.
- Customer Service: Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service and that their needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
- Store Operations: Implement and maintain work schedules, labor control, overtime control, and payroll expense for the department.
- Department Management: Be responsible for department management including staffing, training, performance management, and career development of associates.
- Goal Setting: Develop and monitor department goals and forecasts.
- Communication: Attend and participate in daily huddles, manager meetings, as well as district and company level meetings via phone, online, or in person.
- Store Appearance: Maintain a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department, adhering to company standards.
- Food Safety: Ensure that all food safety guidelines and requirements are always followed and maintained throughout the entire store.

- Education: High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED).
- Experience: Two years of retail experience preferred, with one year of supervisory experience.
- Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills. Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.
- Leadership: Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
- Business Acumen: Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
