Job Summary

CHI St. Alexius Health is seeking a skilled Charge Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and supervising individual patient care on a nursing unit according to policies and procedures while maintaining standards of the State Nurse Practice Act.

Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including care coordination, physicians, and management, using and promoting effective communication strategies to meet inter-and intra-departmental needs.
* Actively role models and coaches the behaviors associated with leadership and assist others in developing their skills and knowledge.
* Demonstrates ability to organize personnel assignments and activities for others for the overall benefit of the unit.
* Working knowledge of clinical skills in delivery of patient care.
* Demonstrates proficiency in unit and the ability to function efficiently during crisis.

Requirements

* Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing; BSN preferred.
* Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state.
* At least two (2) years clinical experience within specialty area preferred.
