RN - Emergency Department

CHI St. Alexius Health is a regional health network with a tertiary hospital in Bismarck, and we are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a RN, you will be a vital member of our healthcare team, contributing to the success by demonstrating customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
This role requires a RN who believes in the power of humankindness and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care. You will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families.
The ideal candidate will have at least two years of clinical experience within the specialty area and be licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of ND or in a compact state. We offer a comprehensive line of inpatient and outpatient medical services, including a Level II Trauma Center, primary and specialty physician clinics, home health and hospice services, durable medical equipment services, a fitness and human performance center, and ancillary services throughout western and central North Dakota.

Responsibilities
This position is eligible for up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus. As a RN in our Emergency Department, you will be accountable for all Registered Nurse duties and responsibilities, including demonstrating knowledge of unit standards of care, staff competencies, and individual patient care needs in facilitation proper patient placement and patient care assignments.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including care coordination, physicians, and management, using and promoting effective communication strategies to meet inter-and intra-departmental needs. You will also actively role model and coach the behaviors associated with leadership and assist others in developing their skills and knowledge.
The skills required for this role include the ability to organize personnel assignments and activities for others for the overall benefit of the unit, working knowledge of clinical skills in delivery of patient care, and proficiency in unit and the ability to function efficiently during crisis. Basic Life Support Certification is required within the orientation period and meets re-certification as required.
Work Agreement
This role is a .9 FTE, 72 hours per pay period, with rotating day, mid-shift, and night shifts. The wage rate is $33.35 - $47.79 per hour, with no on-call expectations and every 3rd weekend and holiday frequency.
