Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electric Motor Design Engineer to join our team at Synectics Inc. This is a full-time office-based position, working 7:30 am - 4 pm Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electric motor design, analysis, and testing, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and develop options for customer requests for quotes, utilizing proprietary internal tools to quickly offer customers the correct motors for their application.
  • Work with the software team to improve existing calculation tools and develop new calculation tools.
  • Release specialty motors to production, following established standard operating procedures to facilitate this transition.
  • Assist customers with technical issues, providing assistance to current customers experiencing technical issues with our products.
  • Maintain motor print and performance data, ensuring all prints are current and up to date, and making any revisions or updates as necessary.
  • Facilitate product quality, working with the production team to ensure product quality and communicating with production staff and management to ensure supplier material/part compliance with our prints.
  • Analyze potential aftermarket product line enhancements, prioritizing the review and execution of revenue growth initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or other related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering fields, preferably in motor design.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others and work on a team.
  • Experience with electric motors, including sizing, design, and testing, is preferred.
  • Proficiency in electric motor design, analysis, and testing, as well as CAD software and simulation tools.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electric motors.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as effective communication and project management abilities.
