Job Summary:

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Mount Carmel Health System, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. Key Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support and care to patients in a sensitive and compassionate manner
Measure and record vital signs, and provide approved patient education materials as directed by the provider or RN
Prepare patients for examinations, routine screening tests, and procedures, and assist the provider or RN with procedures as needed
Perform phlebotomy and obtain lab specimens as ordered, and perform testing to meet regulatory requirements as ordered
Maintain a clean and well-stocked patient care area, and abide by all federal mandates and HIPAA guidelines

Requirements:

Graduate of a School of Practical Nursing
Current license in good standing to practice as a practical nurse in the State of Ohio, IV certification preferred
One to two years of previous experience preferred
Effective communication skills, and ability to work as a member of a team
Basic computer skills required, previous experience with EMR preferred
