Internal Communications Specialist

The Internal Communications Manager plays a critical role in advancing our culture and inspiring our employees through an internal communications strategy. This position is responsible for fostering a strong internal communications plan that ensures all employees are informed and able to thrive through clear channels of communication.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute communications strategies that support team engagement and alignment to the organizational mission, vision, values, strategy, and brand.
- Oversee, manage, and coordinate company correspondence, content, and messaging.
- Implement processes, strategies, and activities to manage the flow of information within the organization while monitoring the efficiency of the communication processes.
- Write and create relevant, thoughtful, and effective content that informs, inspires, and unites our growing and diverse workforce.
- Partner with key stakeholders to develop innovative content tools for the intranet that will inform, engage, and excite employees while ensuring alignment with brand between internal and external messaging.
- Four-year college degree in Journalism or Communications, or related field required, or equivalent experience.
- Five-to-seven years of related experience (preferably for a financial institution) writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred.
- Extensive experience with writing professional communications. Excellent organization and project management skills with proven ability to oversee and direct several projects at once.
- Ability to create and translate editorial content into a visually appealing finished product, with graphic and multimedia components as needed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management and provide appropriate communications solutions and compelling messaging for a variety of audiences and channels.
