Job Overview

Position Summary

1st Shift: 7am - 3pm

The role involves providing comprehensive support for the maintenance of the facility, including assistance with production lines, installation, fabrication, troubleshooting, repair, relocation, and upkeep of various production and related equipment, as well as facilities infrastructure, buildings, and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize one or more technical skills (mechanical, electrical, welding, pipe fitting, and machining) to install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, relocate, and maintain a diverse range of production and related equipment, facilities infrastructure, buildings, and systems at a journeyman level.
  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, including motors, pumps, piping networks, conveyor systems, furnaces, exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, chemical tanks, PLCs, production machinery, and instrumentation.
  • Install new machinery and equipment, and reposition existing machinery to facilitate layout modifications as necessary.
  • Engage in operations such as rigging, moving, erecting, aligning, and establishing necessary connections to ensure equipment is in optimal operating condition.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance activities of all types, including critical tasks that require extensive disassembly, reassembly, and precise adjustments, lubrication, and/or calibration.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in electronics, electrical systems, HVAC, hydraulics, machining, and mechanical theory, as well as pneumatics.
  • Prior experience in supporting an industrial fluid application facility is preferred.
  • Proficient troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent computer proficiency, ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work requirements, and maintain attention to detail are essential.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, lifting, or crawling.
  • Must be capable of regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
  • Responsible for maintaining and accounting for assigned tools and equipment.
  • Forklift Operator's license is preferred or must complete required training (ability to safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts in a production environment).
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols is essential.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum requirement: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: Certification in electronics, electrical systems, HVAC, machining, and/or mechanical theory.
  • 3-5 years of experience in general production maintenance, including technical skills (mechanical, electrical, welding, fabrication, and machining) to install, fabricate, troubleshoot, repair, relocate, and maintain a wide range of production and related equipment, facilities infrastructure, buildings, and systems at a journeyman level.
