Job SummaryThe Electrical Engineer III will play a key role in the successful execution of projects from start to finish. This individual will provide technical and engineering excellence, as well as successful delivery of work to our customers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical design, with experience in power distribution systems, building power and lighting systems, and special systems such as ground fault, lightning protection, emergency generator, UPS, etc.
Responsibilities- Assist with the design of power distribution systems, including primary and secondary systems.
- Support the design of building power and lighting systems, including special systems.
- Prepare engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and to ensure application of Electrical Engineering Principles.
- Assist with performing voltage drop and short-circuit calculations, and arc fault analysis.
- Coordinate work with other departments and project team members as well as contractors.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 8 years' electrical engineering experience following graduation.
- Professional Engineering (PE) certification or willingness to pursue this designation.
- Project experience and a working knowledge of Electrical design for building projects.
- Knowledge in both Revit and AutoCAD.
- Strong electrical design expertise across various industries and processes.
- Comprehensive understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil and Structural Engineering construction practices.
- In-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE, etc.).
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to influence stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
The Electrical Engineer III will work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines. The successful candidate will be able to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a team environment.
