Special Education Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Support Professional to assist students with physical, mental, and educational needs at Sweeney Elementary School.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to students with special needs, including escorting and mobility assistance as needed
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and provide progress reports
- Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and learning data
- Assist with lesson plan preparation, distribution, and communication with parents
- Support substitute teachers during their absence and act as a liaison between staff, students, and parents
- A 4-year degree is preferred; an Associate's degree or Para Pro certificate is required
- At least 2 years of experience working with children, preferably in a school setting
- Ability to work effectively with students with special needs and implement behavioral goals
- Bilingual skills in Spanish and English are a plus
This position values diversity and inclusivity, and the successful candidate will be based at Sweeney Elementary School.
Salary:$45,000 - $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience, in accordance with the WFEP contract.
