Job Description

This position is available to current McDaniel College students who are enrolled in the Federal Work Study program. As a Visitors Services Assistant, you will work in the Historical Society of Carroll County's Bookshop, assisting with promotion duties, greeting patrons, and showing visitors the exhibit galleries.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with Bookshop promotion duties
  • Greet and assist Society patrons and visitors
  • Show patrons and visitors the Society's exhibit galleries and learn about the collections to help answer visitor questions
  • Set up and tear down signage during open hours
Requirements
  • Current McDaniel undergraduate student
  • Federal work study as part of Financial Aid package
Physical Characteristics

This position requires sitting for long periods of time, as well as some bending and stooping when working with files. This position does have some limited lifting involved but not more than 10 pounds at a time.
