About the Role:

The Pharmacy Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient management of the pharmacy department at SelectQuote, Inc. This individual will direct and guide the provision of pharmaceutical care and products, as well as other service programs within the pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Directs and coordinates all pharmacy activities in the department or division.
  • Responsible for the planning, supervision, coordination, and successful execution of all activities related to the pharmacy's operations.
  • Initiates and implements Quality Improvement initiatives for the department.
  • Supervises departmental personnel, including hiring, orientation, training, monitoring, determining workload, delegating assignments, scheduling, evaluating performance, and initiating corrective and disciplinary actions.
  • Conducts and/or attends SelectQuote meetings, including Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, Data Entry, and Delivery meetings.
  • Implements and adheres to SelectQuote policies and procedures.
  • Operates within the professional standards in compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Performs professional duties and responsibilities associated with the processing of prescriptions to meet SelectQuote objectives and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Dispenses, checks, and verifies all prescription and health-related product orders in accordance with Federal, State, and local laws and regulations governing the dispensing of medications and other healthcare-related products.
  • Assists with the development, use, analysis, and feedback of performance measurement indicators, processes, and audits. Aggressively works to maintain and exceed quality standards.
  • Assists the VP of Operations and Quality Improvement Manager in the implementation of audit and quality control procedures to ensure compliance with SelectQuote and regulatory requirements.
  • Reviews and/or prepares various pharmacy audit/utilization reports and implements cost-saving initiatives. Constantly strives to ensure profitable operations of the Pharmacy Department.
  • Participates in the rotation of weekday and weekend Pharmacy On-Call Program.
  • Maintains outstanding working relationships with all pharmacy associates.
  • Mentors pharmacists and pharmacy management teams to increase their efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensures prompt and courteous customer service by all pharmacy associates.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with the medical community served by SelectQuote.
  • Works closely with the Customer Service Department to resolve customer complaints or concerns and implement corrective action plans.
  • Exhibits and commands common courtesy, professionalism, and respect when interacting with associates.
  • Markets the positive image of SelectQuote throughout the local communities.
  • Maintains confidentiality in dealing with all clients and company information.
  • Performs duties and responsibilities according to the philosophy and standards of SelectQuote, including conveying courtesy, respect, enthusiasm, and positive attitudes in work situations with clients, peers, and visitors; maintains client and associate confidentiality.
