Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Thompson Pump and Manufacturing Co., Inc. This is a critical role that requires a strong background in maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspecting and repairing equipment, replacing filters, and performing other preventive maintenance actions.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical problems, using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as needed.
  • Assemble, install, and repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery parts, and adjust functional parts of devices or control instruments.
  • Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.
  • Plan and lay out repair work, using diagrams, drawings, blueprints, maintenance manuals, or schematic diagrams.
  • Perform painting and repair of roofs, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, drywall, or other building structures.
  • Install equipment to improve energy or operational efficiency of residential or commercial buildings.
  • Provide grounds keeping services, such as landscaping.
  • Assist other departments as needed.
  • Follow all safety regulations at work areas and job sites.
  • Represent Thompson Pump and Manufacturing Co., Inc. in a professional, respectful, honest, and courteous manner with customers and co-workers.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Trade school graduate preferred.
  • Minimum two years of responsible maintenance experience required.
  • Working knowledge of basic electrical systems.
  • Basic electrical, carpentry, painting, landscaping, and general construction skills.
  • Ability to read and understand various service manuals, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Basic math skills; ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide all units of measure.
  • Proficient in the use of precision measuring devices.
