We are seeking a skilled RN Diabetes Educator to join our team at Ascension Seton Northwest. As a key member of our pediatric endocrinology team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and education.
Responsibilities- Assess and plan educational activities for assigned services or populations.
- Collaborate with nurse managers and staff to identify learning needs and competencies.
- Develop and implement educational plans and programs, utilizing methods and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
- Provide resource support for staff in areas of program development, clinical practice, and professional development.
- Participate in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs, including preceptor programs.
- Licensure: Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing required.
- Certification: Certified Educator specializing in Diabetes Management credentialed from the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators (NCBDE) preferred.
- Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience preferred.
- 2 years of experience in RDN or RN role.
- CDCES certified preferred but completed within 2 years of hire.
- Experience with pattern management, insulin pumps, and CGM preferred.
