Pediatric Endocrinology Medical Director

We are seeking an experienced physician to serve as the Medical Director of Pediatric Endocrinology at Texas Children's Hospital in Austin, Texas. The successful candidate will provide leadership, support quality and safety, and maintain clinical excellence and innovation within the division.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and support to the Pediatric Endocrinology team
- Ensure high-quality patient care and safety
- Develop and implement clinical excellence and innovation initiatives
- Oversee the opening and growth of the facility
- Treat Endocrinology patients within our facility
- Assist in leading and growing the program(s) of research and treatment of cutaneous complications of treatment
- Participate in the founding physicians of a new medical facility with the support and resources of the Children's Hospital in the nation
- Grow an academic and research program within a new TCH campus
- Opportunity to ramp up and grow quickly personally and as a group; this is a once-in-a-career opportunity
- Experience working in a pediatric medical center or specialty care unit that serves complex pediatric cases
- Well-versed in the setting(s) of a pediatric specialty hospital and multidisciplinary care across the divisions of NICU, PICU, and Critical care
- Candidates of all experience levels are encouraged to apply as this facility is expected to ramp up quickly
- Academic record consistent with appointment as an assistant level or associate professor is desired given TCH's affiliation with Baylor
- History of participation in research and featured author in publications reflective of their specialty and focus
- Pioneer-like spirit that is flexible and comfortable with the challenges of starting and ramping up a new facility
- M.D., or D.O, or equivalent degree, and Board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology
