Position: Aerospace Manufacturing Specialist
Contract Role

We are seeking a skilled professional to engage in various manufacturing engineering tasks, ensuring optimal production processes and adherence to quality standards.

  • Develop and manage Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) and Routing documentation.
  • Facilitate the creation of tool orders, project documentation, and material masters to support effective planning.
  • Oversee the creation and release of Design Quality Notifications (DQN).
  • Provide support for Supply Chain Assessment Team (SCAT) events.
  • Review and resolve issues related to Engineering BOM and Manufacturing BOM.
  • Establish GIWS work statements and networks.
  • Conduct reviews of engineering drawings prior to release.
  • Address production floor concerns to enhance manufacturability.
  • Review and close out Production Process Action Requests (PPAR).
  • Analyze obsolete parts and determine their potential for reuse, rework, or disposal.
  • Maintain and support the Manufacturing Straw Horse process.
  • Develop manufacturing build plans for various programs.
  • Conduct fastener studies to mitigate supply chain shortages and facilitate drill qualifications.
  • Support production systems for both new program development and serial production.
  • Assist with Configuration Control, including DMU reviews for quality inspections.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 to 10 years of experience in the aerospace sector as a Manufacturing Engineer.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace structures.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards.
  • Proficiency in SAP software.
  • Experience with CATIA V5 (both 2D and 3D).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (2D drawings).
