We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced NDI Technician to join our team in Kinston, NC. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the integrity and safety of our aircraft components by performing non-destructive inspections using various techniques.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employ advanced analysis methods to evaluate materials, components, or systems without causing damage.
  • Utilize a range of NDI techniques, including liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, pulse-echo, and immersion, to verify compliance with customer specifications.
  • Set up and calibrate NDI equipment, process parts, interpret inspection results, and determine acceptance or rejection criteria. Document findings meticulously.
  • Develop and implement new NDI procedures based on approved guidelines and work instructions.
  • Conduct regular system performance checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of NDI equipment.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior technicians, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Perform audits of non-destructive inspection processes, identifying any deviations from established standards and documenting findings.
  • Interpret technical codes, industry standards, and contractual documents related to NDT methods.
  • Assume technical leadership for the NDI facility, equipment, and personnel.
  • Prepare, review, and approve procedures and work instructions to ensure technical accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct training programs, examinations, and certification processes for NDI technicians.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the aerospace industry.
  • NAS 410 NDI Level 2 or Level 3 certification (documentation required).
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including alternative work weeks.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Associate degree or higher in NDI or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
  • Experience with ultrasonic inspection techniques.
