We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Physical Engineer to join our team at Global Talent Resources Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the proper design and specifications of assigned substation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Develop preliminary and detailed physical substation design drawings, including yard layouts, plans, sections, detailed grounding, lightning protection, and associated bills of materials.
- Prepare calculations for studies and reports, such as grounding and lightning protection.
- Coordinate design activities with Civil/Structure and Transmission Line teams.
- Monitor project construction activities to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
- Provide direct supervision to staff designers and field personnel.
- Prepare reports and support project deliverables that present technical and project information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently and with others while maintaining a high level of initiative and self-motivation.
- Good technical and engineering design/planning skills.
- Familiarity with design and construction standards, as well as applicable industry codes and practices.
