Job Summary

As a Senior Accountant at SPX Cooling Tech LLC, you will play a critical role in supporting the accounting, financial reporting, and analysis requirements for the Engineered Air Movement group. This position involves maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts, performing journal entries, and collaborating with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records
  • Perform journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end and year-end balancing and closing procedures
  • Support fixed asset accounting and reconcile transactions with corporate/home office and other intercompany businesses monthly
  • Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, production, and sales, to gather relevant financial data and ensure accurate and timely reporting
  • Support internal and external audit processes by preparing necessary documentation, responding to inquiries, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience in Accounting and Finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven record in assisting operational leadership with understanding and improving processes to support bottom line results
  • Ability to manage a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally
  • The use of ERP systems (preferably SAP) to help drive performance
