Education and Experience Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED is mandatory
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in wood finishing
  • Experience within the aerospace sector is preferred
  • Fundamental understanding of cabinet finishing techniques and materials.
Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates under general supervision to prepare furniture for finishing and disassembly utilizing blueprints, aircraft specifications, and design/engineering drawings.
  • Conducts high-quality repairs on various finished surfaces both in the workshop and on aircraft.
  • Applies finishes to furniture using spray equipment and various manual/mechanical techniques.
  • Adheres to all safety protocols, 5S standards, and housekeeping regulations.
  • Utilizes the material tracking system to generate parts demand, monitor issues, and sign-off on completed work.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with lead and more experienced technicians to identify and implement process enhancements.

Other Requirements:

  • Possess a solid understanding of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications.
  • Capable of climbing ladders and stairs, working in confined spaces, lifting up to 40 pounds, and adapting to any shift schedule.
  • Must demonstrate computer proficiency.
