Role Overview

The Dispensary Associate, reporting to the Dispensary Manager, plays a crucial role in the daily operations of the dispensary, contributing to a patient-focused team and supporting iAnthus's objectives. This position involves upholding the policies and procedures of iAnthus while ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Operations & Compliance
  • Engage with and educate patients in a friendly manner
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of patient intake forms
  • Assist in the qualification process for our Verified Financial Hardship (VFH) program
  • Ensure adherence to local and state regulations
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing and using email
  • Provide timely patient feedback to management
  • Maintain accurate records such as patient intake forms and cash handling logs
  • Participate in brief meetings at the start of each shift to align on goals
  • Deliver compassionate and excellent patient service consistently
  • Engage in monthly inventory assessments
Training & Development
  • Ensure every patient is greeted with a warm and helpful attitude, making each interaction positive.
  • Stay informed on HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
  • Be proficient in inventory management and point-of-sale systems.
  • Maintain current knowledge of products and appropriate dosages.
  • Ensure all team members comply with iAnthus policies and relevant laws.
  • Review and update educational materials for patients.
  • Participate in quarterly team discussions.
Sales & Business DevelopmentAnalyze daily sales and best practices with team members to meet objectives.Receive training on patient services, including intake and product knowledge.Engage in brief meetings at the start of each shift to ensure consistent messaging.Provide exceptional and compassionate patient service.Company Culture

Qualifications & RequirementsMust be at least 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license.Experience in retail, hospitality, or patient services is preferred.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with basic math abilities.Experience in a fast-paced, high-transaction environment is preferred.Strong organizational and decision-making skills.Computer literacy is essential; POS experience is a plus.High school diploma or equivalent.Ability to pass a criminal background check as required.Detail-oriented and proactive with strong analytical skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various conditions.Management reserves the right to assign additional duties as necessary.
