The Radiology Intervention Specialist plays a crucial role in the assessment and management of both congenital and acquired conditions affecting organ and vascular systems. This position is accountable for executing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the Angio-Interventional radiology or Neuroradiology departments.

  • Delivers effective procedural assistance for diverse patient interventions.
  • Operates specialized imaging equipment during procedures.
  • Implements safety protocols to reduce radiation exposure for patients, colleagues, and self.
  • Ensures compliance with quality assurance standards and objectives.
  • Maintains an image quality assurance error rate of less than 5%.
  • Oversees inventory management for necessary supplies.
  • Actively engages in ongoing professional development and education.
  • May undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation Range: -

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of an accredited Radiography program is required; an Associate's Degree in Radiography is preferred. Eligibility for ARRT (VI) certification is necessary.

Experience: Prior experience is required; a minimum of 2 years in Interventional Radiology is preferred.

Licensure: Must hold registration as a Radiologic Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT R.T.). ARRT (VI) certification must be obtained within one year of employment. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role necessitates prolonged periods of standing and sitting, frequent bending and stooping, as well as extensive overhead reaching. Strong communication, auditory, and visual skills are essential; attention to detail and legible writing are required. The ability to lift, push, or pull weight is necessary. Exposure to various environmental factors, including fumes, temperature extremes, radiation, and biological materials, may occur.
