Position Title:
Systems Engineer I

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proficiently operate control software applications.
  • Develop basic databases in accordance with established operational sequences.
  • Work with Variable Air Volume (VAV) systems, Fan Coil Units (FCU), and Air Handling Units (AHU).
  • Interpret mechanical equipment layouts from floor plans.
  • Assist senior engineers in project commissioning.
  • Complete necessary commissioning documentation.
  • Identify mechanical equipment in both drawings and on-site.
  • Familiarity with Chillers, Boilers, Pumps, AHUs, FCUs, VAVs, and Exhaust Fans (EF).
  • Recognize equipment deficiencies.
  • Understand basic electrical control circuits.
  • Manage Controller I/O and 24VAC power systems.
  • Grasp fundamental networking principles.
  • Coordinate efforts with Mesa electricians.
  • Comprehend and identify the contractual scope of work.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in Electrical or Mechanical disciplines, or equivalent field experience.
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years as an automation technician.
  • Working knowledge of at least one HVAC control system, preferably Delta, JCI, or Andover.
  • Understanding of mechanical systems.
  • Ability to engage with customers and contractors at supervisory and management levels.
  • Engineering competencies should include knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, pneumatics, and computer programming.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, with an understanding of controls networking.
  • A valid driver's license is required.

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate of $40.00.
