Job Summary

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of surgical procedures, including patient information, surgical techniques, and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest surgical techniques, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Surgical Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
  • 1+ year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital or surgical setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and sterile environment, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with robotic surgical systems, such as the Da Vinci Xi.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software systems.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.
